WHY WOULD ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR MY FOREHEAD WRINKLES? Botulinum Toxin A is the most effective treatment to smooth forehead wrinkles and lift the area around the eyes.

HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK? Most wrinkles are caused overtime by the overuse of facial muscles, for example when frowning or raising eyebrows whilst speaking. Botulinum Toxin relaxes the muscles that cause the lines.

WHAT DOES THIS TREATMENT INVOLVE? Prior to treatment you will need to go through a health questionnaire with our medical practitioner, who will check your medical history and inform you of both the benefits and risks of the treatment.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS? Clients usually see the results from anti-wrinkle injections between 5 days and 2 weeks following the procedure.

FOR HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST? We advise our clients to expect results to last approximately 3 months on their first treatment, although some of our clients find that the effects last much longer (anywhere up to 5 months).

HOW DO FILLERS WORK? As we age, the level of hyuralonic acid in our skin depletes. This causes the skin to lose volume and begin to sag, thereby creating wrinkles. Dermal fillers restore lost volume and smooth out wrinkles. Over time, some dermal fillers begin to stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin to generate a sustained effect.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROCEDURE? Your aesthetic therapist will explain the treatment options available and discuss the best type of dermal filler for you. Typically, one treatment session takes approximately 1 hour. The effect will be visible immediately after the injection.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? The side effects of this procedure are usually short-term and common. They include redness, stiffness and tightening of the skin around the injection site. As with all procedures, there are other side effects of the procedure which your aesthetic therapist will discuss with you.

HOW LONG DO FILLERS LAST? The longevity of filler treatments is dependent on the viscosity and ingredients of the filler. They can last between 3 and 18 months.

WHICH HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS DO WE USE AND WHY? We stock the best quality fillers that are safe and long lasting. These include Juvederm, Perfectha, Radiesse, Hyalual and Teosyal. The skin condition and area to be treated will largely dictate the filler we will use.
